How to: Import data to Excel

Working with Excel inevitably means working with data, but sometimes this data comes from a source other than Excel. This can be from a word document, webpage or any other source. Usually copying and pasting data doesn’t format correctly.

Open the Excel file that you need and select the cell where you want the data to be imported into.

Select the type of data that you want to import.

Then go through the text import wizard.

You can then select which cell or worksheet you want the data to be imported into and format it.
